Acupuncture

AcupunctureMore people are trying alternative medicine for themselves so why wouldn't they do the same for their pets? Here at Associated Veterinary Medical Center, acupuncture treatments are offered for both horses and small animals. There are several common conditions that can be treated with acupuncture including; arthritis, allergies, muscular or soft tissue pain, cancer/chemotherapy support, and intestinal problems. Acute diseases should be treated at least twice a week, while chronic conditions may need extended therapies. Once the disease is under control, a maintenance therapy program is developed. An initial consult is scheduled to evaluate the patient’s medical needs and to determine the length of therapy.

Here at Associated Veterinary Medical Center, we are proud to offer acupuncture because it has been shown to help with many ailments including pain, osteoarthritis, vomiting, endocrine disorders, and much more. If you want to try acupuncture, be sure to discuss it with your veterinarian. You never know what diseases it might help! Many owners like to give it a try!

Many owners believe that their pets won't sit still for acupuncture. They don't think that they will like it. However, many pets really enjoy their sessions!
