Dr. Laura Beth Wick, DVM

For Dr. Laura Beth Wick, caring for animals has always been second nature. She grew up surrounded by pets—dogs, cats, pocket pets, and even a turtle named George—and quickly realized the profound impact of the human-animal bond. This bond inspired her pursuit of veterinary medicine, with the goal of not only keeping pets healthy but also helping the people who love them.

Dr. Wick completed her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University in 2013. Fear Free Certified and Cat Friendly Certified she is committed to making visits as stress-free as possible for both pets and their families. With extensive training in orthopedic surgery, she is excited to bring her experience in cranial cruciate ligament repair to Associated Veterinary Medical Center. While she enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine—including soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental surgery—Dr. Wick has a special passion for geriatric feline care and looks forward to welcoming more feline patients. She believes every pet has a unique place in their family, and she loves learning what makes each human-animal bond so special.

Dr. Wick is thrilled to be settling into Walla Walla and looks forward to becoming part of the community. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll likely find her mountain biking, backpacking, practicing yoga, tending to her garden, or enjoying a good cup of tea. She shares her home with her sassy senior dog, Phoebe, two quirky cats, Sullivan and Floyd, and her fiancé, Karl.

Dr. Delaney Boyd, DVM

Dr. Delaney Boyd earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University. Her love for animals and medicine led her to pursue a career in veterinary care, but it was the profound human-animal bond that truly captivated her. Dr. Boyd finds immense joy and honor in being part of the magical relationship between pets and their owners, and she is dedicated to creating positive experiences through compassionate veterinary medicine.

In her practice, Dr. Boyd treats every patient as if they were her own pet, taking the time to listen to clients and understand their concerns. Her philosophy, “Be the person your dog thinks you are,” reflects her commitment to living up to the unconditional love and trust that pets place in their owners. At home, Dr. Boyd’s family includes her husband, who loves teaching and coaching, and their beloved Border Collie, Posy. Originally from Pendleton, OR, Dr. Boyd is thrilled to fulfill her childhood dream of living in Walla Walla and joining its vibrant community.

Dr. Candace Davis, DVM

Dr. Candace Davis is a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian with a passion for animal care and a commitment to advancing veterinary medicine. She earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University, where she developed a strong foundation in both small and large animal care. Dr. Davis’s approach to veterinary medicine is rooted in her belief that every pet deserves personalized and empathetic care. She strives to build lasting relationships with her clients, ensuring that they feel heard and supported in making the best decisions for their pets’ health.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with her family and their assortment of pets. She is actively involved in animal rescue efforts, community outreach programs, and local construction projects aimed at improving animal shelters and facilities. Dr. Davis loves taking on construction projects at home and often has multiple ongoing endeavors. Her days off are frequently spent with her tool belt on, working on various construction projects. Dr. Davis finds joy in outdoor activities, reading, and continuing her education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. Her dedication to both her patients and the community makes her an invaluable member of our team.

Dr. Brooke Wicks, DVM

Dr. Brooke Wicks has always been drawn to veterinary medicine, a passion sparked at the age of three. Her love for science and a desire to work with both animals and people guided her path to becoming a veterinarian. After earning her degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Wicks embraced a career that offers daily variety and continuous opportunities for learning and growth.

Known for her compassionate approach, she emphasizes kindness and clear communication, striving to address the needs of her patients while ensuring pet owners are well-informed and comfortable with the care their pets receive. Her guiding principle, “Kindness first,” reflects her dedication to making tough days easier for everyone involved.

Living on a small family farm with her husband, two children, and a variety of animals, Dr. Wicks deeply values the human-animal bond. Their pets, including two dogs, one of which has permanent nerve damage, are integral members of their family. She has a special interest in end-of-life care, providing personalized support to pets and their families during difficult times to ensure a peaceful and dignified transition.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Wicks enjoys yoga, the mountains, the ocean, and spending quality time with her family. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, she is grateful to have settled back in her home area of Walla Walla, finding it a perfect fit for her family.

Dr. Lindsay Benson, DVM, CVPP, CVA, CHPV

Dr. Lindsay Benson earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University and holds multiple certifications, including Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist. She found her calling in veterinary medicine while working in an animal clinic during college, starting in the kennels and quickly realizing her passion for the field. Dr. Benson is dedicated to nurturing the bond between people and their pets, guided by her mantra, “Be kind, be respectful, and try to brighten at least one person or animal’s day.”

Dr. Benson lives with her two sons, who share her love for animals. Their home is filled with two dogs, three cats, two beta fish, and a handful of chickens. For Dr. Benson, pets are soul-enriching companions, always ready to provide comfort and joy. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, gardening, and exploring her creative side through art. Dr. Benson’s dedication and compassion make her a cherished member of our veterinary team.

Dr. Sara Campbell, DVM

Dr. Sara Campbell’s journey into veterinary medicine began on her aunt’s cattle and horse ranch, where she was captivated by the veterinarian’s work on a horse’s foot. This early experience sparked a passion that led her to pursue a career as a mixed animal veterinarian. Graduating from Oregon State University and Washington State University in 2003, Dr. Campbell fulfilled her dream of practicing in a rural area and owning her clinic.

Dr. Campbell believes in working hard and being kind, focusing on building lasting relationships with her clients while addressing their pets’ needs. She strives to ensure every animal is healthy and happy. Her dedication to veterinary medicine is mirrored in her personal life, where she and her family are deeply involved in the western lifestyle. Dr. Campbell’s two teenage daughters compete in high school rodeo, and her husband is part of the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association). Their home is bustling with life, housing five dogs, five cats, a couple of goats, and around 20 horses. For Dr. Campbell, veterinary medicine is more than a profession—it’s a lifestyle choice deeply rooted in her family’s daily life.

Dr. Emily Perkins, BVMS, MRCVS, BA

Dr. Emily Perkins brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for veterinary medicine to our team. She holds a BA in Biology and Geography from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed her veterinary training at the University of Glasgow, graduating with merits in both large and small animal medicine. Her dedication to advancing her knowledge is reflected in her recent certifications in Neurology and Fear Free practices.

Dr. Perkins’s journey into veterinary medicine began with a desire to work on global health projects. Her love for animals, people, and science drove her to pursue a veterinary degree, aiming to make a meaningful impact by reducing animal diseases that affect human health and livelihoods. Although her career path shifted towards companion animals, she found immense satisfaction in improving the lives of pets and their owners through medicine. Her goal for every patient visit is to ensure pets feel loved and owners feel heard, promoting both physical and emotional health.

Living with her husband Casey and their two sons on a wheat farm in Athena, Dr. Perkins’s home is filled with a variety of animals, including pet highland cows, a dog named Daisy, and three cats. She values the unique personalities of her pets and their special relationships with each family member. Dr. Perkins’s personal interests include the same loves she had at twelve: animals, the outdoors, reading, running, and continuous learning. Having grown up in Colorado and spent her twenties in Scotland and the UK, she now cherishes her life and work in Oregon, close to her family roots.
